Why Buy It When You Can Make It?

I have many hobbies and one of them is card making! I find it so helpful, fun and people love receiving them. Taking the time to make a card by hand can mean so much to the person you are giving it to. More personal, more creative and not to mention much more unique.
Here in the Faroe Islands, France and even back in Canada, people often receive the same card on their birthday, wedding day or other special occasion, because all the stores carry similar if not identical cards. If you hand make cards you're at an advantage. People want to not only receive from you but also buy from you. I have sold dozens of cards to family and friends, from congratulation cards to birthday cards, and to wedding cards.

Now how can you make the cards? What might you need?
Blank cards with matching envelopes.
A paper cutter
A pencil
Patterned paper
Ribbon
A word stamp set
Ink pads in back and maybe one or two colored ones. (think for any gender)
Little sparkle stickers or pearls to spruce it up
After you start with the basics, you can add even more to your collection by going and checking out your local crafting store. A great way to get ideas is to follow me and what I do, use Pinterest, search Google or go with the flow and see what you end up with!
Card making doesn’t have to be fancy, busy, or expensive; it can be just as fun to play around with one ribbon and a few word stamps, making it for friends and family, for Christmas or birthdays. I sometimes give cards just for the sake of giving them! Have fun, that’s what’s most important. Your card game has just been upgraded!
