Personality Tests and How They Are Creepily Accurate:

There is no way for me to explain how crazy accurate online personality tests can be. How spot on each and every word is. It’s almost creepy, but at the same time helpful. When I took my first online test, it was more helpful than any career test, school assessment, relationship, or even doctor. I found myself in the words that went on to describe almost every stitch of my being.

The best personality test (and first test) I took was the 16 personalities test invented by Myers and Briggs’. This tests breaks down the 16 personalties like this:

Analysts:

  • Architect (INTJ)

  • Logician (INTP)

  • Commander (ENTJ)

  • Debater (ENTP)

Diplomats:

  • Advocate (INFJ)

  • Mediator (INFP)

  • Protagonist (ENFJ)

  • Campaigner (ENFP)

Sentinels:

  • Logistician (ISTJ)

  • Defender (ISFJ)

  • Executive (ESTJ)

  • Consul (ESFJ)

Explorers:

  • Virtuosis (ISTP)

  • Adventurer (ISFP)

  • Entrepreneur (ESTP)

  • Entertainer (ESFP)

You can take your test here:

My outcome was Advocate (INFJ) that meant that I am introverted and intuitive. I approach life with deep thoughts and imagination. My values, inner vision and a quiet, principled version of humanism guide me. INJF’s are the rarest type and are idealists with integrity. Real dreamers that like to take action. Yes I am very creative, but extremely sensitive. I have learned that this is attached to my mental health state and way of being.

Your result may be just as accurate. Pointing out what you value most, how you interact with the world around you, what your strengths and weaknesses are. You might see yourself now in a different light, or should I say through a magnifying glass. Understanding and using this information can help you to be the best version of yourself by working on the weaknesses and choosing to seek endeavours which honor your strengths!

This next test is called the Enneagram test. This test tells you which type of person you are out of 9 personalities. The 9 personalities are:

  1. The Strict Perfectionist

  2. Considerate Helper

  3. Competeive Achiever

  4. Intense Creative

  5. Quiet Specialist

  6. Loyal Sceptic

  7. Enthusiastic Visionary

  8. Active Controller

  9. Adaptive Peacemaker

Here is the test:

My number was 4. I am creative. This says that I desire my own identity and want to be self-expressive. This test specifically talked about modification of identity around others, and that really resonated with my Borderline Personality Disorder diagnosis. I did more research and found that this personality type is more likely to adapt these types of mental health disorders. Very interesting to me.

Your number might not say a lot. You may want to dig deeper. Se

e what numbers socialize best with you, how sensitive is your number?...etc. Google is my best-friend when it comes to this. Take another Enneagram test and see if you get the same result. Either way, be open and honest with yourself if there are negative aspects to the results. We all have our short comings, and knowing about them is half the battle.

“The 5 Love Languages”, a book, and a way of life. These languages can vary. You have physical touch, words of affirmation, quality time, gift giving, and acts of service. Taking a test with your partner will really help you move forward in your relationship.

Each of us shows love in different ways. We also receive and feel loved the most in more specific ways. For example, one person may feel super loved when their significant other (S.O.) gives them a hug. Now if the S.O. didn’t give hugs, that would make this person feel unloved. But how do you communicate that without knowing that this is your love language, without your S.O. knowing? That’s why this test is S.O. important.

Your joint results (that means the result you get and then the result your loved one gets) will mean that you and your S.O. need to start working on your love languages. Wether that’s giving more gifts or more of your time, wether that’s making an effort to say “I appreciate you” or give a kiss. It’s all important, both ways.

Adjust, check in, re-adjust. Love is a journey and your love will be ever evolving. You need to move with the current and make sure to check in with each other. In a couple of years you may even want to take the test again! Peoples main love language can change.

Hopefully now that you know yourself more, and have a better understanding of how you view the world and what needs working on… Now you can move onto your friends and loved ones! Send them this link and see what results they get. Make a thing of it and trust me you will all be for the better. If all else fails, laugh it out and shrug it off! Hopefully you and the people around you can say “My life has just been upgraded”.
